"Cool"/BBC Radio/etc.

This message was contributed by Steve Marcus on 4/8/02.

I've just recently begun listening to programs on the BBC website--mostly from Radio 3 and Frank Renton's "Listen to the Band" on Radio 2. What programs can you recommend for a brass player?

Your performance on "Friday Night is Music Night" is quite impressive! And so is your website!

Whose arrangement of "Cool" from Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story did you perform? By whom is it published?
Jack Gale wrote a fine arrangement of selections from West Side Story for brass quintet, but I don't think that it includes "Cool" complete with the full fugue.

Richard, what model tuba(s) do you play?

I hope that someone WILL sponsor a FABE tour of the States, including clinics, in the not-too-distant future.

Sincerely,
Steve Marcus
