Don't Tuba players like to go on, isn't tonic to dominant enough for you...seriously Richard I totally agree with you.
So much tosh is written about what is 'good' music;if music can move you, make you think, make you laugh or cry(for the right reasons..)then it has done it's job.
Music like life has to evolve and ok we shouldn't forget our ancestors for what they've given us but please, please, please let's not do what we Brits do best and consign our best musicians to the bin just because they are not 'in flavours' with concert programmers.
We are so very fortunate in the UK to have such brilliant musicians like the Arnolds, the Bliss's, the Bax's etc..we should do so much more to promote their music....alright enough from me and my soap box.
Thanks again for your comments Richard!
