My name’s Tom, I attended the workshop at North Kesteven School, Lincoln on the 10th of October. I also came to see you tonight in the Lincoln Drill Hall. I would just like to say how amazingly grateful I am for everything you did, in particular at the workshop. I lead the first ensemble, on trumpet, that played at the workshop and we all found your advice to be very, very helpful.
I have been completely inspired by seeing the ensemble play. It’s sort of made me jump into overdrive with practice really. I’m getting ready for my grade 8 in spring 2006 and this has just helped me so much.
Most of the time I'm a Jazz player, so I bought your CD, an A - Z of Jazz. Hearing some of the pieces that we play in some of my other bands, Li'l Darlin' for instance, from players like yourself, really has influenced my playing.
I am hoping for a career in music, whether it’s performing or teaching, I’m not sure yet, but hearing you all play has made me sure that I want to do music.
I just wanted to take the opportunity to say a giant thank you, you’ve really helped me.
Thank you, so much
