Yes, I would strongly reccommend that you go for the RSAMD. I did a four year undergrad there and had a great time. The teaching is excellent and there is generally a large amount of music making in and around Glasgow. If you work hard enough you might even be lucky enough to begin a freelance career even while still at college. I did my first week in a pro symphony orchestra in the first term of my second year at the RSAMD.

From your last posting I sensed that you seemed a bit daunted by the whole music college thing!! I think that if you turn up to audition full of enthusiasm for playing the trumpet and for music as a subject, they'll pick up on that. I'm also happy to say that the RSAMD are very good at recognising musicians with potential so don't worry if you don't play like a superstar in your audition..............I played like a complete spanner and they still let me in!!!!
