It's great to hear from you again and many thanks for your kind words. From a performance point of view the Heaton is a really enjoyable piece to play so I'm glad you found it equally as enjoyable to listen to! I think the audience at Chester responded to it quite nicely too. The Arnold is a piece I will NEVER get bored of playing - it really is an absolute gem and despite the fact it was at the end of what was quite a 'lip-bending' programme, we'll always muster up that extra bit more for the last movement.

I quite agree that there just isn't enough air time dedicated to brass on Radio 3 but as performers there's only so much we can do to badger these people without becoming a complete nuisance. You, as a member of the audience, are in a much stronger position than FAB to complain to the BBC about this matter. So...................... if you start lobbying the BBC I'll be right behind you.............. is it a date?
