Brass bands, damn them!

This message was contributed by Fred Johns on 22/2/03.

Hello All

Why is it, that when any member of any brass band in the known universe comes second (or anywhere other than first) in a contest, they all say "we were robbed"? Is it possible that 99% of brass players are indeed being robbed on a weekly basis, and if so should the Music Police be informed,
or are most brass banders just a bunch of miserable gits who think they should win all the time, even if they don't play well? Did Maurice Murphy sit in the LSO, claiming felony all around? Does Christian Lindberg sit in Scandanavia, wondering about pilferers? Is this wholesale "robbery" just a british thing?

Do let me know, because I feel SOOOOOOO sorry for all these poor folks being robbed all the time.

What does the FABE team think?

Fred

PS thanks god you got rid of that fat beardy tuba player. Good riddance! I bet he was smelly too.
